Subject: Minutes from AYSO Board Meeting of January 3, 2005.
1. Meeting called to Order by: Anthony Wilkes at 6:30 pm at the Churchill County Parks and Rec Annex.
2. Members in attendance:

3. Abbreviated minutes: read and accepted
4. Abbreviated Treasurers Report: There will be expenses for up coming travel for training and section meeting during the next couple months.
5. Administrators Comments:
Registrar: NTR
Safety: We sent Letters to Park and Recreation School Districts and the City clerk to let them know season was finished.
Safe Haven: NTR
Coach Administrator: We received more player and coach forms.
Training Coordinator: NTR. We need to make sure Assistant Coaches are trained as well as Coaches prior to the 2005 season.
Division Coordinators:
U14 – NTR
U12 – NTR
U10 – NTR
U8 – NTR
U6 – NTR
5. Old Business
a. All the AYSO Reference books are on order, each Board member will get one.
b. The goal post safety stickers are in the mail.
6. New Business
a. Board Positions- Lots of positions still available.
b. Volunteer forms are available on the AYSO website at www.eayso.org. 3 copies are needed, one for the member, one for our Region records and one to National Support and Training Center. They need to be filled out every year.
c. We discussed different scenarios to free up Saturdays during the regular playing season. (Start later in the season, play on Fridays). Also discussed the desire to finish before Nevada Day weekend. Decision was made to reduce the season to 10 games. The following is a tentative schedule:
Registrations- April 2nd , May 7, 18, and June 2nd
June 13th Division Coordinator meeting (for team building guidance)
Field set up on July 23rd
Practice starts on July 25th or August 1st (coach’s choice)
Start games on August 13th
d. We need to coordinate game schedules earlier this year with neighboring towns.
e. EAYSO has changed login procedures.
f. Section Meeting is $103.00 per person registration, $111 per night for hotel, and around $200 per plane ticket. The Regional Commissioner will email the entire Board about going. Please let him know by Jan 17 if you plan on attending.
7. Action Items:
-Next meeting we will discuss Registration Fees.
-Next meeting we will discuss the potential for increasing our fund raising profits while discontinuing Soccer Fest.
-The Regional Commissioner has copies of schedules for games and practices in the Regional Commissioner Guidebook that he can make for coordinators.
8. Administrative Remarks:
a. Thank you for all of your support and patience.
b. Next meeting will be February 7, 2005 at 6:30 at the Churchill County Parks and Recs Annex.
c. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm by the Regional Commissioner.
